Light
Divers is a
production that when performed seems to stop time but that when it is over has
lasted only a moment. It is dance from person to person without either
intermediaries or agents.
I
found the same ruthless energy and total conviction in Eva Lundqvist's
Light Divers, which was performed by Dan Johanson, Ingrid Lundmark and
Stephan Mensah. In the choreography, where the whirlwind movement was a basic
form, the fundamental elements were deconstructed, fragmented, reconstructed
and reiterated in the bodies of the dancers when they moved across the floor
at a furious tempo. In spite of the high tempo, there were passages of calm
where the dancers were given the opportunity to affirm each other and they
thereby became very present. Light Divers
marks the brilliant return of Eva Lundqvist and it was an added bonus to see
Vindhäxor occupy the stage at Glashuset again. |

Light
Divers by Eva Lundqvist/Vindhäxor
(Wind Witches) Motivation:
The production is characterized by ruthless energy and a total conviction in
both choreographer and dancers. To watch Light
Divers was like being drawn into a whirlwind; it left me breathless and I
hoped at the same time that it would never end.
